Early Life and Introduction to Dance
From a tender age, Verena von Strenge was destined for the stage. Born on July 27th, 1975, Verena nurtured a profound love for dance, influenced by her grandmother, a former ballerina. At five years old, she was already immersed in the world of classical dance, laying down the foundations for a career that would later see her ascend to stardom in the dance music scene.
The Dune Era: A Breakthrough in Dance Music
Her prowess as a dancer caught the attention of the electronic music band Dune, composed of Oliver Froning, Jens Oettrich, and Bernd Burhoff. Initially joining as a dancer, Verena's talent swiftly propelled her to become the lead vocalist, charting a new course for the group as well as her career.
Chart-topping Albums and A Change of Heart
Verena lent her vocals to three albums with Dune - "Expedicion", "Live!", and "Forever." However, her ambitions as a musical artist and unforeseen health concerns led her to part ways with Dune. After their collaboration on "Forever" and her last video for "Who Wants To Live Forever?", Verena left the group in 1997, with eyes set on a solo career.
Verena von Strenge's Solo Journey
Contractual hurdles initially stifled Verena's solo ambitions. However, she persevered and eventually signed with Mega Records. Her debut single, "Finally Alone," hit the airwaves in 1997, followed by "Heartbeat" and Disney's "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid in 1998. Despite her efforts, the singles did not meet the record company's expectations, resulting in a canceled contract.

After a period of silence, Verena's voice was once again set to electrify the dance scene with her return to Dune in 1999. It was a brief reunion, heralded by the single "Dark Side Of The Moon." However, legal challenges once again interfered, stalling the release of subsequent works - a single titled "Heaven" and the album "Reunion" - and ultimately pausing Dune's collective endeavors.
